1.25 Lakh Students Appear For OTET-2021 Offline

Bhubaneswar: Amid fear of the COVID-19 upsurge, the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET)-2021 is being conducted in offline mode at 491 centres across the state.

A total of 1,25,880 students are attempting the examination held by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha.

Elaborate arrangements have been made by the School and Mass Education Department for smooth conduct of the examination at district and sub-division levels.

Department Secretary Satyabrata Sahu earlier wrote to the DGP, all district Collectors and Superintendents seeking cooperation for holding the exam. He directed them to instruct officials at the grassroots level to ensure that the exam is conducted in adherence to all COVID-19 guidelines, including mask-wearing and social distancing.

While the Paper-1 exam started at 8 am and would end at 10.30 am, Paper-II will be from 12 noon to 2.20 pm on Friday.
