New Delhi: Narendra Modi’s popularity seems to be increasing, especially on social media.
The Prime Minister’s YouTube channel subscribers crossed the 1-crore mark on Tuesday, widening the gap between him and other global as well as India leaders, reported PTI. Modi has 75.3 million followers on Twitter.
In second place among world leaders is Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro, with 36 lakh subscribers on his YouTube channel.
Mexico President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has 30.7 lakh subscribers, while Indonesian President Joko Widodo boasts of 28.8 lakh subscribers.
US President Joe Biden is well behind, with 7.03 lakh subscribers, while the White House has 19 lakh subscribers on its YouTube channel.
As for Indian leaders, here’s how they fare compared to Modi’s 1 crore-plus YouTube channel susbscribers:
* Rahul Gandhi — 5.25 lakh subscribers
* Shashi Tharoor — 4.39 lakh subscribers
* Asaduddin Owaisi — 3.73 lakh subscribers
