Khurda: In a tragic incident, a man was killed and two others sustained critical injuries after an air pressure tank exploded at a garage in Odisha’s Khurda on Wednesday.
As per preliminary information, the mishap took place at Daleipur Cjhhak under Khurda Sadar police limits in the morning.
The deceased has been identified as Naba Kishore Baral, a mechanic from Kaddiwadi village in the district. The injured are siblings Dev Mansingh and Deepak Mansingh of Chhatrapada village.
Sources said the mishap took place when Baral was checking the pressure of the tyre of a truck at his garage located along the National Highway No. 16.
The injured are undergoing treatment at the Khurda District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
On being informed about the incident, a team from Khurda Sadar police station rushed to the site and launched an investigation.
