Bhadrak: The Special Task Force (STF) of the Crime Branch seized 10 elephant tusks and detained five persons at Kadabaranga in Odisha’s Bhadrak district on Saturday night.
According to sources, the STF and the Forest Department officials raided Kadabaranga area on a tip-off and found the smugglers discussing smuggling the tusks with some locals.
Three persons from Oupada in Balasore district, one from Khaira and one from Agarapada in Bhadrak have been detained.
Investigation into the matter is on.
