Puri: Ten more sevayats engaged in chariots construction work at the Ratha Khala here have tested positive for COVID-19, informed district Collector Samarth Verma.
With this a total of 18 servitors, including 12 Maharanas and 6 Bhois have so far contracted the virus in the second wave, he added.
Treatment is being provided to the COVID positive sevayats, he added.
The Collector said a total of 79 sevayats are engaged in the chariot work on Friday and the administration is also ensuring that only those who test negative for coronavirus are allowed to the Ratha Khala.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to inaugurate the COVID Hospital in the town in the evening.
