Paradip: In a tragic incident, a 10-year-old boy died and his mother was seriously injured after a truck hit their two-wheeler at Atharbanki terminal junction on Friday.
The woman, identified as Neha Khandelwal, has been admitted to hospital, and her condition is stated to be critical.
According to reports, Neha works as a teacher in a private school and was returning from school with her son around 1 pm on a Scooty. During this time, a truck hit them from behind at terminal square as a result of which the boy fell on the road and the truck ran over him, crushing his head.
The truck driver has been detained by police.
