Mumbai: At least 12 people died while 23 others were injured when a speeding mini-bus crashed into truck during early hours of Sunday on Samruddhi Expressway in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly known as Aurangabad) district.
According to reports, the accident took place around 12.30 am in Vaijapur area of the expressway when the bus carrying 35 pilgrims, mostly from Pathardi and Indira Nagar in Nashik district, was returning from Buldhana Sailani Baba Dargah to Nashik.
The deceased include five men, six women, and a minor girl. Another 23, who sustained injuries, were admitted to a government hospital.
