Cuttack: In an unfortunate incident, a 12-year-old boy suffered
critical injuries when a bullet was accidentally fired from the
service revolver of a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan at High Court
Colony under Badambadi police limits in Cuttack on Saturday.
The victim has been identified as Anubhav Mohanty, son of Prabir
Mohanty hailing from Kamalpur area.
The minor, who boy received bullet injury on his head, was rushed to a
private hospital here.
The incident took place at around 12 pm when Anubhav was playing with
the weapon of his friend Piyush Patra’s father Susant Patra,
eyewitnesses said.
Police have registered a case and started an inquiry to determine the
exact reason behind the incident.
