Bhubaneswar: A day after a student of Odisha tested coronavirus positive, the state government on Monday said that he had come in contact with 129 persons while travelling from Delhi to Bhubaneswar.
In his second press briefing of the day, chief spokesperson on COVID-19 Subroto Bagchi said the ailing student, who returned to India from Italy on March 6, had come in contact with 53 persons during his stay in Delhi and after his arrival in Bhubaneswar and 76 persons in the train while on his way to Bhubaneswar. “Efforts are on to identify these individuals,” he added.
Stating that the patient had consulted a private doctor n Bhubaneswar, Bagchi said the clinic has been shut down while the concerned doctor and the staff have been kept in quarantine.
