Bhubaneswar: Following a devastating fire that hit a shopping mall in the Cuttack city recently, the Fire Services Department has served notice on 13 trading establishments in Bhubaneswar asking them to take adequate fire safety measures within two months.
Civil Defence Director BK Sharma said during a raid on these 13 establishments in Bhubaneswar on February 12, it was found that the owners and staffs have not taken adequate fire safety measures.
We have asked these trading establishments to ensure adequate arrangements within two months.
“We will raid these establishments after two months and take appropriate action against them if they have failed to act on the directive of the Fire Services Department,” Sharma pointed out.
The 13 trading establishments which have been served notice to this effect are Hotel Suryansh at Chandrasekharpur, Hotel Empires at Saheed Nagar, Hotel Crown at Nayapalli, Ms Kalyani Jewellers at Vani Vihar, Lalchand Jewellers at Master Canteen, Panda Lifestyle at Saheed Nagar, BMC Keshari Mall at Unit II, Hotel Presidency at Nayapally, Mehers at Kharvela Nagar, Satyam Shivam Sundaram at Kharvela Nagar, Bazaar Kolkata Shopping Centre at Bapuji Nagar, FBB Shopping Mall at Kharvela Nagar and Alishan at Kharvela Nagar.
