Bhubaneswar: Odisha capital registered 132 new positive cases of COVID on Friday compared to 114 caseload on Thursday.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), all the new COVID patients are local contact cases. Like yesterday, the recovered persons outnumbered the new patients, as per the BMC data of the last 24 hours. As many as 187 patients recovered from the disease during the period.
Of the new cases, Patia continued to report maximum cases with 32 patients. It was followed by Baramunda with 11 cases while other places registered patients in single digit.
The active cases in the city have dropped from Thursday’s 1,380 to 1,325 and the number of deceased has remained at 1,193 with no casualty reported during the period.
The total COVID cases till date have gone up to 1,62,867, while total 1,60,328 patients have recovered from the disease, the BMC mentioned in the tweet.
