Bhubaneswar: Odisha capital registered 136 new positive cases of COVID on Sunday compared to 133 caseload on Saturday.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), all the new COVID patients are local contact cases. The recovered persons outnumbered the new patients, as per the BMC data of the last 24 hours. As many as 158 patients recovered from the disease during the period.
Of the new cases, Patia continued to report maximum cases with 17 patients, followed by Nayapalli with 12 cases and Old Town with 10 cases while other places registered patients in single digit.
The active cases in the city have dropped from Saturday’s 1,291 to 1,269 and the number of deceased has remained at 1,193 with no casualty reported during the period.
The total COVID cases till date have gone up to 1,63,136, while total 1,60,653 patients have recovered from the disease, the BMC mentioned in a tweet.
