139 Bidders Apply For 215 Plots To Set Up Stalls During Cuttack Bali Jatra-2022

Cuttack: Applications have been submitted for allotment of at least 215 plots in three days for Bali Jatra-2022 in Odisha’s Cuttack city.

As announced earlier, the process for allotment of plots for the Bali Jatra began on Saturday. During three working days, 139 applications have been submitted for auction of the plots. The process would continue till October 15.

As per norms, an individual/institution can apply for maximum three plots and the total area of selected plots must be less than 1000 square feet. Keeping this in view, several applicants have opted for more than one plots on the bank of river Mahanadi.

More than 25 blocks of area have been earmarked for allotment of plots in 23 acre. While the interested persons-institutions can set up their stalls on 8 acre in Upper Bali Jatra Ground, 25 acre have been marked in Lower Ground.

According to sources, total 41 applications were submitted for 63 plots on the first day. While 36 bidders filed for 53 plots, 62 applications were received for bidding of 98 plots.

Similarly, total 5 patrons have evinced interested in the famous Bali Jatra this year. There are three categories of patrons – premium (over 5,000 sq ft to 10,000 sq ft), platinum (over 3,000 sq ft to 5,000 sq ft), and gold (over 1,000 sq ft to 3,000 sq ft).

The auction process will start on October 19 at a base price of Rs 50 per sq ft. Each subsequent auction call will have an increment value of Rs 51 or multiples of Rs 5. The place and time for the auction will be intimated at the time of registration.

The street vendors will be charged a minimum of Rs 10,00 for being allowed to do business. However, they may be charged higher fees for use of larger space.
