2 Dead After Speeding Ambulance Crashes Into Auto-Rickshaw In Odisha’s Sundargarh

Sundargarh: In an unfortunate incident, two persons died and eight others were injured after an ambulance rammed into an auto-rickshaw in Lahunipada area of Sundargarh district on Monday.

According to reports, some people of Raikelaposh were returning to their village from Bonai weekly haat when a speeding ambulance collided head-on with the three-wheeler on a bridge near Poi village.

The vehicles fell 20 feet under the bridge after the collision. The ambulance driver fled from the spot. Police have seized the vehicles and registered a case.

The deceased have been identified as Malati Kisan and Priyanka Sahu. Two  of the eight injured have been admitted to Rourkela hospital after their condition worsened. The others are undergoing treatment at Sundargarh district headquarters hospital.
