Bhubaneswar: LinkedIn in its year-end report states that Indian working professionals are optimistic about 2021.

According to the report, 2 in 5 Indians expect an increase in the number of new jobs, and 1 in 2 expect their companies to do better in next six months. The hiring has gone up to 46 per cent year-on-year in October which has led to the optimism too.

There has been 3X increase in uptake of LinkedIn learning courses and the trend is expected to continue with 3 in 5 professionals aiming for it. Cert Prep: Project Management Professional, Online Marketing Foundations, and Time Management: Working from Home are some of the popular LinkedIn Learning courses.

Flexible work policies will become more common and so will virtual events, the report predicts.

Interviews will also become increasingly virtual.

Remote learning has also led to an increase of 30 per cent in April among female workforce participation. This went up to 37 per cent by the end of July, particularly driven by services, education, healthcare, media and communications.
