Bargarh: Two persons died and another sustained critical injuries when a car in which they were travelling overturned near Bhagatpur Chhak in Odisha’s Bargarh district on Tuesday.
As per preliminary information, the mishap took place near Bhagatpur Chhak on Biju Expressway when three friends were proceeding from Paikmal to Padampur in the district.
The deceased were identified as Ghanshyam Pandey (48) and B Balakrishna Rao (42) of Khariar Road area in Nuapada district. The injured was identified as Paramanand Rout.
The three were on their way to Padampur for some work when the car lost balance near a sharp turn, skidded off the road and overturned.
Locals rescued the three and shifted them in an ambulance to the sub-divisional hospital in Padampur where doctors declared Pandey and Rao dead. Rout is undergoing treatment at the hospital and his condition was stated to be critical.
