2 Killed As Bike Collides With Pickup Truck In Odisha’s Malkangiri

Malkangiri: Two persons were killed in a collision between a pickup truck and a motorcycle in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Sunday.

As per reports, the mishap took place when the victims, identified as Sujit Madhi and Singa Madhi of Kutubanpalli village under Kalimela police limits in the district, were going on the bike on National Highway 326 in the afternoon.

While the duo was going through MV 126 ghat area on the NH, the pickup truck carrying poultry products came from opposite direction and collided with their bike head-on.

Sujit and Singa sustained critical injuries in the collision and fell down. One of them died on the spot while another succumbed to injuries in Community Health Centre (CHC) at Kalimela in the district.

The driver of the pickup truck surrendered before the police after the road mishap. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
