Two killed, 8 injured in lightning strikes at Nuapada

Nuapada: Two persons were killed and eight injured in lightning strikes at Komana block of Nuapada district on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Kalyan Singh Nayak (14) of Jethupali village and Narahari Chhatria (35), a native of Singari village in the district.

The mishap reportedly took place while Singh had taken his cattle out to graze near his house and Chhatria was working in a field.

The injured hailing from Singari and Range villages were admitted to Komana community health centre for treatment.
