Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday detected two double-storey building, six plots and a four-wheeler during simultaneous raids on District Sub Registrar, Nayagarh, Saswat Kumar Pattanaik on allegation of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The house searches were conducted by a team led by 8 DSPs, 6 inspectors and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge,Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, at 6 places, including his office and rented house in Nayagarh and parental house and those of relatives in Kendrapada district.
ASSETS UNEARTHED
1) A double-storey building with total area of 2350 sqft at Talabaranga, Kendrapada town.
2) Another double-storey building with total area of 2100 sqft at Talagaon under Kudanagari police limits in Kendrapada.
3) 6 plots in and around Cuttack, Jatni, Khurda and Kendrapada towns.
4) Advance of Rs 6,54,500 paid to two realtors for purchase of land in his name.
5) 1 four-wheeler and 3 two-wheelers.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the buildings/plots is being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing. The deposits made by him are yet to be ascertained, a Vigilance release said.
