2273 Cases Shortlisted For 1st-Round Hearing At Promotion Adalats In Odisha From Jan 28

Bhubaneswar: The first round of Promotion Adalats will hear 2,273 stalled promotion applications of government employees. It is scheduled to be held at six places in Bhubaneswar on January 28, 29 and 31, principal secretary of General Administration Department Sanjeev Chopra informed on Sunday.

According to sources, the GA & PG department had received 8,909 applications online by January 23. Of them, 2,273 applications were shortlisted. The final list has been uploaded on its official website.

The aggrieved employees, who were eligible for promotion as on December 31, 2019, could submit their representation at gadmin.or@nic.in.

Chopra said that e-mail acknowledgments with mention of place of hearing and date have been sent to the applicants and they are required to bring along a copy of it to be allowed entry into the courts. No lawyers or representatives can appear for the candidates during the hearing, he added.

The second round of Promotion Adalats will be held on February 27, 28 and 29.

Mentioned below are the places where six senior officers will preside over the Promotion Adalats.

Suresh Mohapatra (Development Commissioner): New Convention Centre, Gopabandhu Academy
Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra (Agriculture Production Commissioner): Krushi Bhawan Auditorium
RK Sharma (Additional Chief Secretary): Kalinga Stadium Conference Hall
Pradeep Kumar Jena (Additional Chief Secretary): SIRD Conference Hall
Mona Sharma (Additional Chief Secretary): Idco 5th Floor Conference Hall.
