Angul: After 24 persons of Badajhara village tested positive for COVID-19 in seven days since March 23 in Odisha’s Angul district, the villagers have sealed the area.
On learning about the villagers’ action, Pallahara Sub-Collector Ajit Kumar Pradhan discussed the matter with the local administration and sarpanch. They have requested the authorities concerned to declare the village as a containment zone.
As the village is located close to Pallahara town, the villagers have sought immediate declaration of containment to check the spread of the virus.
