Bhubaneswar: Two alleged deaths by suicide shocked the Odisha capital on Thursday.
According to sources, a 26-year-old woman was allegedly found hanging inside a house at Chintamaniswar under Laxmisagar police limits. The deceased has been identified as Sai Sneha Swain, a native of Godipalli village under Sarankul police limits in Nayagarh district. She was working with a private firm in the city.
According to sources, the woman broke her mobile phone after a fight with her family members the previous day and was found hanging from the ceiling of her rented house this morning.
In the other incident, a girl student, identified as Anupama Naik, allegedly committed suicide at Gondilo village under Balianta police station limits. Her neighbour found the girl hanging inside the house this morning.
Later, the police reached the spot and seized the bodies for post-mortem. “The bodies have been sent to Capital Hospital for post-mortem. Two scientific teams have been sent to the spots. The statements of the family members of the deceased are being recorded,” informed a senior police officer.
