Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID cases, which had crossed 300 in Odisha capital for the last two days, came down marginally on Sunday.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 275 fresh COVID cases were detected in the city on Sunday. All of them are local contact cases while 197 patients have recovered from the disease during the last 24 hours.
The BMC had reported 353 new cases from Bhubaneswar on Saturday and 325 on Friday.
Of the new cases, maximum 33 were detected in Patia, followed by 25 in Old Town, 22 in Nayapalli and 20 in Khandagiri.
While the active cases have gone up to 1,185 while 1,193 have succumbed to the disease. The total cases have climbed to 1,60,441 even as 1,58,042 patients have recovered from COVID in the city so far.
