Bhubaneswar: Three persons were arrested and over 15 grsms of brown sugar seized from them during a special operation by the police in Laxmisagar area of Bhubaneswar.
Following a tip-off, raids were carried out by a special team of Laxmisagar Police at Santoshi Vihar gate on canal road in the state capital and the three were caught, police said on Tuesday.
The arrested persons are identified as Gunanidhi Nayak (51), Ramakanta sahoo (30), Saroj Kumar Singh (35). All three are the residents of Laxmisagar.
Apart from 15 grams of brown sugar, two bikes, 3 mobile phones and Rs 2,000 cash were seized from the arrested persons. Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
