Keonjhar: Police on Tuesday arrested three brothers in connection with the murder of an elderly couple at Khuntakata village under Sadar police limits in Keonjhar district.
The deceased couple were identified as Milu Nayak and Kasturi Pradhan. The incident took place on January 13.
After the bodies were recovered from a well in a forest near the village, police had launched an investigation and arrested the three.
During interrogation, the brothers confessed that they killed the elderly couple for a sack of rice and Rs 1,200.
