Bhubaneswar: Following the appointment of new vice-chancellors in nine Odisha universities, three more state-run varsities will have new VCs soon.
The Higher Education Department has issued three separate notices in this regard stating that Kalahandi University, Rajendra University and Madhusudan Law University will have new VCs.
Aspirants for the VC’s post can send their applications by February 25. Academicians of repute with adequate administrative experience below 63 years can apply for the three posts.
An interview would be conducted with the shortlisted candidates. The Search Committee will conduct the interview in the Odisha capital in physical mode. Following the interview, the panel would recommend the candidates to the Governor, who is also Chancellor of Universities, to take the final call.
It may be recalled that three new VCs have been appointed for the Sambalpur University, Ravenshaw University and Odisha State Open University recently. The Governor had appointed new VCs for Utkal University, Ramadevi Women’s University, Fakir Mohan University, Gangadhar Meher University, North Odisha University and Khallikote University In November last year.
