Rawalpindi: Three Pakistan cricketers — Haider Ali, Haris Rauf and Shadab Khan — have tested positive for coronavirus.
Confirming the news, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) stated that none of the trio had shown any symptoms until they were tested in Rawalpindi on Sunday.
The Pakistan team is scheduled to fly to England on Sunday for a monthlong tour during which three Test matches and three T20 Internationals are scheduled in August.
The tour is in doubt with a PCB medical official saying that it will be a “big risk”.
“During the pandemic, it’s (the tour) a big risk,” said PCB’s director of medical and sports sciences Dr Sohail Saleem on Monday.
