New Delhi: A fighter aircraft crashed in Bharatpur’s Nagla Dida in Rajasthan on Saturday. According to District Collector Alok Ranjan the police and administration have been sent to the spot. There is still no information about the pilot. A technical snag is suspected to be behind the accident, media reports said.
Meanwhile, a Sukhoi-30 and Mirage 2000 aircraft crashed near Madhya Pradesh’s Morena. Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Bagri was quoted as saying that the pilots ejected the aircraft on time and were traced. They have been sent to a hospital for treatment. Defence sources said that the IAF court of inquiry will establish whether it was a mid-air collision or not. “Su-30 had 2 pilots, while Mirage 2000 had one pilot during the crash. Initial reports suggest two pilots are safe while search is on for the third one,” News 18 reported quoting sources.
