3 Youths Riding A Bike Killed After Being Hit By Truck In Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: Three youths going on a bike were killed after being hit by a truck in Odisha’s Kenjhar district on Monday.

According to sources, the three youths, belonged to different villages under Ghatagaon and Dhenkikot police stations in the district and were friends. They were going on the motorcycle from Dhenkikot to Ghatagaon on some work.

A diversion road has been laid as a bridge is under construction on the route. While going on this road, a speeding tiper came from behind and hit their bike near Godavari Hotel.

Two of them, identified as Balabhadra Khatua of Masinabilla village and Maheswar Nayak of Sanabarabeda, died on the spot. The other youth was rushed to the local hospital where he succumbed.

On being informed, two teams from Ghatagaon and Dhenkikot police stations went to the accident spot and started investigation. They have launched an operation to trace the truck which fled after the incident.
