On being informed, a team from Bharatpur police station accompanied by scientific team and dog squad went to the apartment and started investigation. The police questioned the neighbours of the targeted apartment besides 10 workers engaged in an under-construction apartment nearby.
All the three flats in Srikshetra Residency were locked as their owners were away. One of the flat owners, Rajesh Pahadi, in his complaint about the robbery with the police, stated that the miscreants had broken open the locker of his steel almirah and taken away jewellery worth Rs 50 lakh besides Rs 1 lakh in cash.
