Bhubaneswar: The 4th edition of the Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave, the state’s flagship global investors summit, will be held in Bhubaneswar on January 28-29, 2025.

“In this context, a delegation of Odisha government will host an interactive session led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on October 3 in New Delhi,” according to the invite issued by Principal Secretary, Industries, Hemant Sharma.

‘Odisha will be the growth engine of the development journey of the country in the next 25 years’ is the theme for the 2025 conclave on the lines of Prime Minister of India’s vision for the state, which aspires to attract domestic and foreign investments and contribute further towards the agenda of Atmanirbhar Bharat, he further said.

“With both Union and State governments strategically aligned, Odisha presents a uniquely favourable environment for central PSUs looking to grow and expand. Our state is dedicated to facilitating growth through advantageous policies and robust support mechanisms, particularly in sectors critical to national interests. We wish to see you as a valued partner in our endeavour of making Odisha an investment destination of choice and an industrial hub of the east,” the invite added.

The first Make in Odisha conclave was held in November 2016. The state had received investment proposal worth Rs 10.5 lakh with 10,37,701 employment potential across sectors from 741 companies during the third edition of the biennial conclave held between November 30 and December 4, 2022. It also saw the launch of the Industrial Policy Resolutions 2022, which focuses on making Odisha the destination of choice for industrial enterprises across the country and globally.

In August, the new BJP government decided to continue the investment summit under the changed name of ‘Utkarsha Utkal.
