Puri: Five members of a family from West Bengal were rescued after they got swept away in the sea at Odisha’s Puri on Saturday.
Aided by the prompt response of lifeguards of Odisha Fire Service (OFS), all the five were rescued from the deep waters safely. They are all safe and in a good shape, according to sources.
The family members were identified as Rekha (34), Devi Mahali (54), Sumitra Mahali (52), Sudip (19) and Prshan (25) of Hadua North 24 Parganas district in West Bengal.
According to the rescue personnel, the incident took place at around 11:35 am when the family members were taking bath in the sea. All of them are healthy, they added.
