5 School Students On Way To Buy Saraswati Idol Injured As Auto-Rickshaw Overturns In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: Five students of a high school were seriously injured when an auto-rickshaw in which they were travelling overturned in Raibania area of Odisha’s Balasore district on Wednesday.

The mishap took place near Kantabania square when the students of Olamara High School were proceeding in the three-wheeler to buy an idol of goddess Saraswati. The school is slated to celebrate Saraswati puja on Thursday, sources said.

All the five were rescued by locals and immediately rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Hatigarh for treatment.

The three-wheeler was stated to have lost balance when the driver was trying to negotiate a sharp turn. Further details are awaited.
