Deogarh: Normal life was hit due to a six-hour Deogarh town Bandh call given by the District Congress on Friday.
Protesting the anti-poor and anti-tribal policy of the state government, the Congress has demanded homestead land to the landless and forest land patta to the tribals.
The bandh which began at 6 am will end at 12 pm.
While government offices and educational institutions remained closed, vehicular traffic came to a grinding halt.
The Congress workers and leaders picketed at Old Post Office Square and later staged a road blockade on Mumbai-Kolkata National Highway disrupting vehicular movement.
