Berhampur: Police arrested six persons on Thursday for allegedly betting on the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) matches during a raid near College ground at Podamari under Patapur police limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district.
Six mobile phones, a motorcycle and Rs Rs 1.45 lakh were seized from their possession.
Notably, nine persons, hailing from Chhattisgarh, were arrested for their alleged involvement in an IPL betting racket in Jamunanaki area of Rourkela on April 17.
