Dhenkanal: At least six school students injured after the van carrying them overturned in the Kamakhyanagar area of Odisha’s Dhenkanal district on Thursday.
According to information, the mishap took place when the van with 12 students of Barihapur Model School turned turtle after losing balance near a sharp turn near Kunturu village under the jurisdiction of Parajang police station.
Soon after the accident, locals rushed to the site and rescued the injured students who were immediately taken to Parjang Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment.
A team of police personnel visited the hospital and the accident site. They started an investigation into the incident after seizing the van.
Some local politicians also visited the hospital to know the condition of the injured children.
