Rourkela: The Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) has bagged ISO certificate for six urban primary health centres (UPHCs).
The UPHCs are Belughat, DAV (Basanti Colony), Sector 6, Tilkanagar, Koelnagar and Chhend Colony. “We went for ISO certification after improving the infrastructure and rendering quality service to people. The certification is given after auditing of different processes,” said RMC commissioner Dibyajyoti Parida.
Besides rendering regular services, these hospitals provide treatment for gynaecological, paediatric and dental ailments.
Sources said hundreds of patients visit the UPHCs on daily basis.
