61st Honorary Doctorate For Odisha Educationist Achyuta Samanta

Bhubaneswar: Dr Achyuta Samanta’s good work continues to be acknowledged and honoured across India and the world.

The Founder of KIIT & KISS was conferred another honorary doctorate – his 61st overall – this time by Dehradun’s UPES University.

The eminent social worker and educationist received the degree during the 22nd convocation ceremony of UPES University on November 26.

The university highlighted Dr Samanta’s exceptional efforts while bestowing the honour.

“For the last 33 years, I have been working relentlessly for people in society. This 61st honorary doctorate will be remembered by me for all times to come,” said Dr Samanta.

Lord Karan Bilimoria, CBE, DL, a Member of the House of Lords in the UK, was also presented an Honorary Doctorate degree during the ceremony.
