6,915 New COVID-19 Cases Found In India; 119 Deaths

New Delhi: India recorded 6,915 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours on Tuesday. The figure is 14 per cent less than Monday’s spike of over 8,000 cases.

Union Health Ministry said that India’s tally of COVID-19 cases surged to 4,29,24,130.

The toll mounted to 5,13,843 with 119 fresh casualties, according to data updated on Monday. Kerala added 46 deaths to the tally as backlog.

The daily COVID-19 cases have remained below the one lakh mark for 23 successive days.

The active cases, which is 0.22 per cent of the total infections, dropped to 92,472. The national COVID-19 recovery rate has slightly improved to 98.59 per cent, according to the ministry.
