Hyderabad: A 70-year-old woman in Telangana lost her life after being attacked by a troop of monkeys.
The victim, identified as Chataraboina Narsavva, was cleaning utensils at her Ramareddy village home in Kamareddy district when she was attacked by about 20 monkeys.
She was alone at home as her daughter had gone to attend a wedding function.
The helpless Narsavva suffered serious injuries to her chest, back and limbs.
She cried in aguish, but there was no immediate help as her terrified neighbours shut themselves inside their homes until the monkeys fled.
Narsavva was taken to a hospital much later. But she succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment.
