Cuttack: With new COVID-19 cases steadily dropping, 71 persons tested positive for the disease in the city, according to Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC).
Of the new cases on the day, 17 were detected in institutional quarantine centres and 24 in home quarantine, while 30 were local contacts.
Of the home quarantine cases, 7 were identified in CDA, 3 in Kanika Chhak and 2 each in Stewart Patna and Madhusudan Nagar.
In case of local contacts, 5 persons tested positive in CDA and 3 each in Gopalpur, Mahanadi Vihar, Link Road and Kalayani Nagar.
With the day’s addition, the total COVID-19 positive cases have gone up to 14,102 in the city. While 13.144 patients have recovered, 63 have succumbed to the disease. There are 895 active cases at present, according to CMC.
