For the first time in the 52-year-old history of One-Day International (ODI) cricket, all 11 players of a team made double-digit scores in an innings.
England, asked to bat first after New Zealand captain Tom Latham won the toss, posted a total of 282/9 in their allotted 50 overs. Joe Root top-scored with 77, but every other batsman including the tailenders made some contribution.
