Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday announced to keep all Aahaar Kendras in the state to remain open for the people to take food parcels during the lockdown coming into effect from Wednesday.
In an official letter to the collectors of all districts, officer on special duty, Aahaar told them to take necessary actions to encourage beneficiaries to come to the Aahaar Kendras with their container/vessel for takeaway since the single use plastic and
polythene are banned and to avoid garbage issues.
The collectors were also told to monitor the Aahaar Kendras by the nodal officer to
ensure that COVID-19 guidelines are scrupulously followed and review the meals
takeaway from Aahaar Kendras.
The government has announced the lockdown in the entire state from May 5 to
5 AM of May 19 to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
