New Delhi: Those addicted to social often go to any lengths in order to attract ‘likes’ and ‘shares’.
Clicking selfies by taking risks, doing dangerous stunts on roads are hazards that police have to deal with often these days.
Delhi Police recently shared a video on Twitter (now rebranded as X), to deter people from indulging in risky driving practices, and also promote road safety.
The video shows a man riding a bike with two women at the back as they try to recreate the ‘Jaane Nahi Denge Tujhe’ track from ‘3 Idiots’ featuring Aamir Khan, R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi.
None of the three is wearing a helmet.
“’AAL IZZ NOT WELL if you drive or ride dangerously for the sake of reels,” read the caption of the video.
The cops caught the offending driver and didn’t him go with issuing a challan (fine).
“’Jaane tujhe denge nahi bina challan (we won’t let you go without a challan),” wrote Delhi Police.
They had a clear message for people like the above biker – “Don’t be an idiot on the roads. Drive responsibly.”

The video, which has attracted over 31,000 views, 279 likes, and 57 retweets, was appreciated by netizens.
“Very nice video,” one user reacted to the impactful message.
Another enquired, “Is triple riding allowed in case of emergency like when a person is very sick or injured and there is no other mode of transport or ambulance available?”
A third person urged people to act like that in emergencies, but not misuse.
