Bhubaneswar: The prestigious Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), USA has extended accreditation to six engineering programs of KIIT Deemed to be University in Odisha capital.
With this recognition, KIIT has become the only institution in the country to have the accreditation from ABET in all six engineering programmes. The programmes have received the accreditation due to quality education and other aspects. Besides, the university has been accredited by all statutory bodies of the Central government.
ABET is a premier global accreditation organisation of engineering and engineering technology programmes. Regarded as the ‘Gold Standard’ for engineering education, it assures that programmes meet the standards that produce graduates prepared to enter a global workforce.
ABET’s peer-review process is highly acclaimed worldwide as it adds critical value to academic programmes in technical disciplines, where quality, precision, and safety are paramount.
