Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 caseload in the Odisha capital crossed 300-mark for the third consecutive day with 311 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The city had seen a big jump of 379 cases on Thursday after registering 307 new infections on Wednesday.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 66 are from quarantine and 245 local contact cases.
The highest of 16 cases each have been reported from Khandagiri and Bhimeswar Marg, followed by 13 from Sunderpada and 12 from Hansapal.
Among the quarantine cases, seven are from Patia having links with previous patients, six from Khadagiri and five from Saheed Nagar.
With this, the active cases in the city have mounted to 1981.
