Bhubaneswr: Ollywood actor and social activist Chandan Kar on Tuesday distributed ration materials among the workers of Odia cinema industry.
This is for the second time that Kar, the chairman of Kar Foundation, a charitable trust, extended his help to the workers who have been severely affected due to COVID-19 pandemic.
With the shooting of Odia films, TV serials and documentaries banned by the government as part of COVID-19 guidelines, the technicians, light boys, spot boys, make-up man and others have been rendered jobless.
In order to help them in their daily life, Kar distributed rice, flour, dal, oil, salt, spices, soaps and other things to the workers at Master Canteen square here. All the norms of COVID-19 like wearing face masks and social distancing were followed at the place.
