Mumbai: Actor Kabir Bedi is in the news for promoting his autobiography, ‘Stories I Must Tell: The Emotional Journey of an Actor,’ penned during the lockdown. After his revelation about the trauma he suffered due to his open marriage to Protima Bedi and then his relationship with Parveen Babi, here is another bit of news.
Apparently, at an event in Europe, a fan shouted that she wanted to have his baby. The actor is popular in Europe, particularly in Italy.
In an interview, he recalled the incident, which was picked up by the press, and ‘kept getting repeated like a mantra, for years’. He also spoke about another incident, which highlighted his fame, Hindustan Times (HT) reported.
“That became iconic. At some gathering a girl says, ‘I want to have your baby!’ and of course, the press picked it up and it kept getting repeated like a mantra, for years,” he told Bollywood Hungama.
He continued, “As I wrote in my book, there was that incident where I went to a bookstore, and the tent was so packed with fans, the manager told me to leave the building, because it wasn’t designed to hold so many people, and it would collapse and people would die. I had to leave the building.” He said that in the book, he has written about his ‘adventures’ that followed the incident, and how he had jump across the roofs of cars to get away.
