Kochi: Reputed Malayalam actor Mohanlal was admitted to a hospital here on Sunday due to breathing problem.
The 64-year-old, who has high-grade fever, also complained of muscle pain.
According to an official medical statement, Mohanlal is suspected to be suffering from a viral respiratory infection.
Mohanlal’s condition worsened after he returned to Kochi from Gujarat recently, following the completion of shooting for ‘L2: Empuraan’ and post-production work of his directorial debut ‘Barroz’.
Mohanlal has been advised to avoid public interactions for five days and follow a strict regimen.
His latest medical reports show he is recovering well under observation.
Mohanlal, who earlier this year announced working in 360th film, is also a producer, playback singer film distributor and, now, a director.
His directorial debut ‘Barroz’ film will be released in theatres on October 2.
