Bhubaneswar: Actor Sabyasachi Mishra, who has helped many people in different ways during COVID-19 pandemic, has once again come to the rescue of a person who has lost mental balance.
Hadu Kumar, belonging to Gudbahal under Saintala block of Balangir district, had left for Gujarat in search of livelihood. While he was working in a factory at Morbi, the COVID-19 pandemic broke out. After nationwide lockdown was imposed, the factory was closed and Hadu lost the job.
He sustained for some days with his meagre saving which finally got exhausted. With no money, he went without food for several days. He also could not return home as all communications had come to a standstill due to the lockdown.
Deprived of food and under mental tension regarding his future and family, Hadu became incoherent in his activities and gradually lost mental balance. Somehow, one of his friends, Nilakantha Mahananda in Morbi came to know about his condition. He has kept Hadu in his house under lock due to the apprehension that he may go out and get lost.
Since Nilakantha is not in a condition to send Huda to his home or avail treatment, he contacted Sabyasachi three days back after he came to know about the philanthropic activities of the actor.
As soon as Sabyasachi came to know the condition of Hadu, he made arrangements for his treatment.
“Yesterday he started his journey back to Odisha by bus. Mr Hadu will arrive at Sambalpur tomorrow. His family from Balangir will come and see him at Sambalpur. Then I have arranged a car to send him directly to Ranchi for his treatments,” said Sabyasachi in his twitter handle.
The actor has also assured of taking care of the education of Hadu’s children.
